15+ years an oncologist · now helping women through midlife

You're not lazy. You're hormonally exhausted — and nobody told you.

I help women 35+ navigate the physical, emotional and hormonal changes of midlife — natural perimenopause, surgical menopause, and menopause after cancer treatment. Together we make sense of the weight changes, broken sleep, mood shifts and brain fog that a “normal” lab report doesn't explain.

Sound familiar?

The midlife symptoms women are told to live with

If you recognise four or more of these, you're not imagining it and you're not alone.

  • Weight that won't move no matter what you eat or how hard you train
  • Sleep that never feels restful — especially waking at 2–4am
  • Brain fog and forgetfulness that make you doubt yourself at work
  • Mood swings and irritability you can't explain to anyone
  • Fatigue that coffee stopped fixing a long time ago
  • Joint aches and body pain that came out of nowhere
  • Hot flushes and night sweats that arrive without warning
  • Anxiety and a short fuse that feel unlike you
“But my blood tests came back normal.” Hormone levels fluctuate considerably during the menopausal transition, so a single blood test may not tell the whole story. Your symptoms, your history and your overall health matter too — and a normal result does not mean nothing is happening.

The reframe

You are not broken. You are transitioning.

Midlife isn't something to survive. It's something to redefine.

This isn't a motivation problem. Your hormones are part of the picture — but so are your sleep, your metabolism, your stress load, your muscle mass, your nutrition and your emotional health. They interact. Change one and the others shift.

You don't need another person telling you to try harder. You need someone to help you understand what is actually happening.

Is Redefine Midlife right for you?

  • You're 35+ and things in your body just feel… different.
  • You've had surgery, chemotherapy or cancer treatment and were told your symptoms are “just menopause, nothing to do”.
  • You've already changed your diet and exercise, and nothing sticks.
  • Your labs say normal but you don't feel normal.
  • You want a doctor who understands both the medicine and what you're actually living through.

Dr. Sulbha Arya — Oncologist and Midlife Hormonal Health Doctor

Radiation Oncology

I watched my own mother go through changes nobody had a name for. She just adjusted, quietly, the way women are taught to.

Then I spent over 15 years as an oncologist, watching women finish cancer treatment and still not feel like themselves — because we were trained to look at the scans, not the whole picture.

But it was my own perimenopause that really woke me up. I was thrown into it without warning and expected to carry on without complaint — exactly like the women I'd been treating for years.

I couldn't change what I had already been through. But I could make sure other women had someone who understood what was happening to them. That became Redefine Midlife.

How it works

From “something isn't right” to a clearer path

You don't have to know which programme you need. That's my job.

  1. Hormonal Health Mapping Session

A free, doctor-led 45-minute video call. We map what's actually happening in your body and your life right now — no judgment, no jargon, no sales pitch.

  2. Your personalised path

Your starting point depends on what we uncover together. I recommend the right next step for you — never the other way around.

  3. Group or 1:1, based on what you need

That might be Reinvent Her, my 12-week group journey, or 1:1 work with me directly — a small, application-only practice with just 3–4 women at a time.

  4. Ongoing support

Every client stays connected through the WhatsApp community, trackers and check-ins. This isn't a course you finish and forget — it's a relationship that continues.

Every programme is guided by the same doctor-led framework

The EMERGE™ Method — seven pillars, three phases

Phase 01UNDERSTAND

Awareness, foundation, clarity. We begin by understanding what's actually happening — your symptoms, lifestyle, patterns and current stage of midlife — before changing anything.

Phase 02REBUILD

Body, brain, behaviour. The practical work: energy, metabolism, movement, nutrition, sleep, stress regulation and emotional resilience.

Phase 03EMERGE

Identity, integration, sustainable change. Beyond symptom management — where the changes become part of everyday life and the work becomes yours.

Not sure which one is right for you?

That's exactly what your Hormonal Health Mapping Session is for. You don't need to diagnose yourself, choose a programme, or know what you need before you reach out. We start with you — what's changed, what you're experiencing, what you've already tried, and what may need attention next.

What changes

What women describe by the end of this journey

These aren't promises of a cure. They're the outcomes women describe after working through this framework.

  • Steadier energy through the day, without relying on caffeine to function.
  • Sleep that actually feels restorative again.
  • A calmer, less reactive relationship with their own mood and stress.
  • Feeling confident in their body again.
  • Understanding their body's signals instead of fearing them.
  • Confidence to make decisions about their own health.
  • Feeling more present in their relationships.
  • Recognising themselves again — not just the woman managing everyone else's needs.
Why women choose Redefine Midlife

The difference isn't the advice. It's the lens.

Without Redefine Midlife

  • Normal labs, but you still feel awful — and no explanation.
  • Generic “eat less, move more” advice that ignores your hormones.
  • A doctor who treats the disease, not the whole transition.
  • Doing this alone, quietly, the way women are taught to.

With Redefine Midlife

  • A doctor who explains what's actually happening in your body, in plain language.
  • A plan that works with your hormones, not against them.
  • Someone who has treated women through cancer and through midlife for 15+ years.
  • A community of women going through exactly the same thing.

My approach brings together oncology, hormonal health and emotional care — because midlife isn't just a hormone problem. It's a whole-person problem.

Specialist focus

If you've been through cancer, your menopause story is different

Chemotherapy, hormonal therapies, radiation and surgery can change how and when menopause happens — often suddenly, often more intensely, and often at a younger age than expected.

Many women finish treatment, are declared clear, and are then left to manage a hormonal transition nobody prepared them for. Your care deserves to take that history into account.

What StrongER looks at

  • Fatigue and energy after treatment
  • Brain fog and cognitive changes
  • Sleep and recovery
  • Surgical or treatment-induced menopause
  • Body confidence and identity
  • Movement, strength and bone health
  • Emotional wellbeing and survivorship
  • Returning to life beyond treatment

Real women, real results

What women say after working together

The weekly programme has helped me combat and heal the perimenopause symptoms of headaches, nausea, dizziness, bloating and uneasiness. Dr. Sulbha worked very closely with me to guide me through this phase. After three weeks only I am feeling light — I don't feel bloated or lethargic, and the cravings too have gone.
Priyamvada SinghPerimenopause programme
It was an incredible journey of 12 weeks — nutrition, exercise, lifestyle, the right mindset, a positive approach towards perimenopause. Thank you so much Dr. Sulbha Arya for being the right mentor and creating awareness of this less talked about topic in a woman's life.
Divya SinglaReinvent Her, 12 weeks
It's very well explained how hormones aren't one single thing playing a part in your body — how it's all interconnected, with your gut, your sugar hormone system, your female hormone system, your stress hormone system. This was an eye-opener. It's not one single solution.
Mona MansukhaniMasterclass attendee
Very knowledgeable and practical sessions. I am more focused now on my health and know how to take care of myself for the perimenopausal issues I am facing.
Sonia AggarwalGroup programme
That was an enlightening session giving a scientific peek into our relationships. The main relief was — I'm not alone in this, it's the same for everyone. Great initiative!

A word on hormones

Understanding menopause hormone therapy (MHT)

If you've been wondering — “Do I need MHT?” “Is it safe for me?” “What if I've had cancer?” — you're not alone.

MHT can be an important treatment option for some women. But it isn't automatically right — or wrong — for everyone. I don't believe in prescribing hormones simply because a woman is in menopause. I also don't believe women should be frightened away from an evidence-based option without understanding whether it may be appropriate for them. The right conversation comes first.

What I do, and what I don't Redefine Midlife provides education, health coaching and personalised guidance. MHT prescribing, where appropriate, requires an individual medical assessment and should never be started based solely on information from a website. If you are considering MHT, have a history of cancer, or take other medications, speak with an appropriately qualified clinician.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

No. Redefine Midlife is a doctor-led approach that looks at your hormones, metabolism, sleep, nutrition and emotional health together, rather than a generic diet plan or a supplement protocol.

Yes. This is where Dr. Sulbha Arya has the deepest experience. The StrongER programme was built specifically for women navigating menopause after chemotherapy, radiation, hormonal therapy or surgery.

Redefine Midlife combines medical education, health coaching and personalised support. It does not replace necessary medical evaluation or treatment. If your symptoms require further investigation or specialist care, you will be pointed to the appropriate next step.

No. Book your Hormonal Health Mapping Session first. Hormone levels fluctuate considerably during the menopausal transition, so a single blood test rarely tells the whole story. You will decide together what, if anything, is worth testing.

No. The Mapping Session is a conversation about what you are experiencing. If a programme makes sense for you, you will be told. If it does not, you will be told that too.

No. You leave with a personalised recommendation, which might be a group programme, 1:1 work, or simply a clearer understanding of your body. The next step is always your choice.

Yes. All sessions are conducted online over video, so women outside India can join. Any prescribing decisions, if relevant, would still need a clinician licensed where you live.

You don't have to figure this out alone

Let's map what's happening — and figure out your next step together.
